On Saturday, July 9, Downtown Chambersburg will host its second “Second Saturday” concert for the summer, having band Wings That Buzz perform along with opening act solo artist Jon Ingels. The event is set to start at 5 p.m., and is free and open to the public.

Wings That Buzz is an all original band from Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. Their unique blend of strong melodies, warm textures, and toe-tapping rhythms are both fresh and familiar. Fluid, energetic music and thought-provoking lyrics, about the joys and struggles of life, combine to create an uplifting sound that aims to inspire the listener and is as likely to get you moving too.

Jon Ingels is a guitarist and singer/songwriter from Waynesboro PA. Jon performs with the Slackwater 4 as well as the Blues Rock outfit Big Whiskey. In his solo performances Jon draws from all his influences ranging from blues to country, rock to reggae, and all points in between!

Following the performances, the movie “Back to the Future” – PG (1985) will be shown as a conclusion to the night. If interested in a fun night with music and a classic movie, be sure to attend! It’s bound to be fun for the whole family! Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnics.
