“A Twist of Lemmon” is coming to the Capitol Theatre stage in Chambersburg, Franklin County, PA on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00pm.  This true father/son story that unfolds on stage is based on Chris Lemmon’s book “A Twist of Lemmon” which tells the story of a beloved Hollywood icon, his dad, Jack Lemmon. Jack starred in over 60 films, was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won 2 Oscars including one for “Mister Roberts” for Best Supporting Actor and the other for “Save the Tiger” for Best Actor.  The nostalgic feel of this show is a perfect complement to the ambience of the beautiful 1927 historic Capitol Theatre located at 159 S. Main St. in downtown Chambersburg, PA.

“Twist” chronicles the lifelong journey of Chris and his world famous father Jack Lemmon. It’s a unique universal celebration of a father and son torn apart, only to find one another again, becoming the best of friends against all odds. Couched in the lore of the Golden Age of Hollywood and told entirely in the voice of Jack Lemmon. “Twist” is filled with dozens of stories of movie stars and directors who were Jack’s close friends like Gregory Peck, Marilyn Monroe, Jimmy Cagney, JFK, and his best friend Walter Matthau.

Chris is an exceptional performer, actor and a classically trained musician with a career spanning over 30 years.  He performs his original score, of some of Jack’s favorite Gershwin songs. Jack himself was an accomplished pianist and through their mutual love of music they became friends. A story that will make you laugh, and cry, then laugh again. Broadway World recommends,  “A lovely, warm, intimate, heartfelt evening of memories and music! Chris Lemmon, as he echoes Jack Lemmon’s greatness, is equally unforgettable.”
