The Pet Store is a family-owned local business located in Chambersburg, PA. Since opening in July 1998, we’ve tried to bring happy, healthy pets to families throughout the tri-state area.

The Pet Store is not a big box chain store. We are a local, independently owned and operated business that prides ourselves on our dedication to providing a personal touch for pets and their owners!

We are a pet store with integrity. High quality pet care is our most important goal. We also provide great customer service and love to provide educational opportunities for responsible pet ownership to our loyal customers.

We are inspected by the PA Department of Agriculture, PA Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement and maintain an “A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have never faced a warning or infraction. Inspection records can be found at the PA Department of Agriculture, then by searching Kennel Name as “Cobwebs” in Franklin County.

We proudly fly the flag of the United States of America inside our store and outside in good weather.

We believe in giving back to the community. We provide dog food, free of charge to all K-9s working for (and retired from) the Chambersburg Borough Police Department and have since shortly after the store opened in 1998. We know this is a great way to give back!! They provide a great service and we are honored to do this for them. We also donate to many local no kill rescues and shelters in our community. Please be generous with your donations in our collection jar. 100% of your donations goes to the rescues and shelters.

Proper care of our pets comes first in our store. We take great pride in our store, healthy pets and most importantly cleanliness. It is our goal to educate our customers on how to better care for the pets they already own.
