Red Run Park, the oldest park owned by Washington Township, contains 22 acres with a man-made lake, picnic area, playground equipment, public restrooms, concession stand, and miniature train. The lake closed for swimming in the 1970’s, and has been used for fishing and ice skating since that time. Three major community events occur at the park annually.
The Red Run Express Miniature Train rides are provided on weekends all summer at the park. Each Saturday and Sunday the train runs from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The ride is free, donations accepted. The Train is operated by volunteers, and times and dates of operation are dependent on availability of volunteers.
