Benny’s Italian Restaurant was just a dream to Bernardo (Benny) 28 years ago when he came to the United States from Carini, Sicily. After years of working in Italy as a carpenter, he decided to search for the “American Dream”, and moved to Pennsylvania. He started as a dishwasher in a bustling Italian restaurant in 1989. After working his way up to manager, he felt it was time to buy a restaurant of his own. Before setting out on his adventure, he and his loving, accepting, understanding, and close to perfect lady, Martha tied the knot in 1997. They bought a small pizzeria in Chambersburg and began evolving it into the restaurant it is today. With the most recent remodel, Benny and Martha decided to bring a more trendy and industrial feel to create a more urban environment. Benny wants to bring the culinary experiences and flavors of his childhood to the patrons of his restaurant.
