FRANKLIN COUNTY 4-H CLUB

181 Franklin Farm Lane Chambersburg, PA 17202
DoCommunity Clubs & Organizations
0.0 0 Reviews

Joining 4-H Clubs provide children the opportunity to learn life-long skills and ideas as they “learn by doing.” They will have the chance to meet numerous new children and adults in the community, county, state, and even nation. Participation will enhance leadership skills, communication skills, and learn responsibility. Children will explore creative ideas and learn to work individually and as part of a team while learning to grow in subjects of interest.

4-H provides a variety of levels of opportunity from county and regional to state and national participation. County opportunities include Summer Roundup, Summer Youth Programs, County Animal Shows/Roundups, Recognition Night Banquet, Volunteer and Office Training, and 4-H Benefit Auction. Regional opportunities consist of Regional Overnight Camp, Winter Academy (Ages 10-13), Teen retreat (Ages 13 and over), Speak Out Night, Animal Shows/Roundup, and Fashion Revue. State participation involve Capital Days, State Achievement Days, State Council, and State Leadership. National levels of participation include National 4-H Congress.

Youth ages 8-18 as of January 1 are eligible to join 4-H and carry any project or projects. Children ages 5-7 as of January 1 may join our Cloverbuds Clubs geared specifically for younger members.

Joining the 4-H program is cost friendly. There is an annual educational materials fee of just $20, plus an additional $1 for accident insurance, with the exception of Horse Clubs whose members pay the $20 educational materials fee, plus a $25 horse program fee and $2 for accident insurance. This fee is paid each year you re-enroll in our program. This fee is not paid per club, but instead paid per year, allowing you to pay just $21.00 while being part of multiple clubs if you so choose.
