The Franklin County Visitors Bureau supports the tourism industry of Franklin County through support of its tourism partners. A key partner, the Capitol Theatre, is seeking an arts-inspired theatre manager to oversee all aspects of the theatre complex, including bookings and rentals, monthly events, a staff of 2-full time, 6 part-time, and 30-plus volunteers as well as board and committee responsibilities. 

“Having good partners is essential to building an appealing destination. So, it is important for our organization to support our tourism partners in cultivating our tourism industry,” said Janet Pollard, executive director of the Franklin County Visitors Bureau. “Our tourism industry needs a Capitol Theatre manager who recognizes the special place the theatre is and is driven to share all it has to offer.”

The Capitol Theatre is an historic 89-year old, 800-seat theater inside a multi-arts complex in downtown Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.  Capitol Theatre presents national, international and regional performing arts’ acts on its stage during its performing season and shows movies during the summer months.  The arts complex is utilized year-round through rentals as a community based performing arts and film venue as well as a space for social exchange.  The Capitol Theatre Center complex additionally houses the local community theater, the local dance school and features an events space that is rented for weddings, parties, performances and more.
