Congratulations to Tuscarora Mountain Winery for medaling at the Tasters Guild Wine Competition, PA Wine Contest, and Finger Lakes Wine Competition.

Tuscarora Mountain Winery won 2015 Tasters Guild silver medals for its Blueberry Buckle, Harvest Moon, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Blueberry Buckle is a sweet wine with the fresh flavor of Franklin County-grown blueberries and works as dessert wine or a chilled, refresher to share with friends.  Both Harvest Moon, crafted with Norton grapes, and Tuscarora’s Cab Sauvignon with a nice combination of blackberry and spice appeal to a dry taste.

At the PA Wine Contest, Tuscarora Mountain Winery received a silver medal for its Granny Smith Apple, a sweet white wine with the distinct flavor of the apple for which it is named. At the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition—where more than 3700 wines from all 50 U.S. states, 6 Canadian provinces, and 27 countries competed, “J’ received a silver medal in the Shiraz/Syrah category. As well, Tuscarora Mountain Winery’s Sauvignon Blanc and Rifle Man Red received bronze medals in the competition. “J” has nice notes of plum, the Sauvignon Blanc has hints of herbs and grapefruit, and Rifle Man Red is a semi-sweet variety highlighted with the flavors of black currants and blueberries.

Tuscarora Mountain Winery is located just off the square of Chambersburg on Lincoln Way West and invites visitors to stop and taste the flavors of Franklin County’s fresh fruits in their wines. The tasting room and winery are open 10 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday;  10 AM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday; and closed on Sunday and Monday.

Cheers!
